Below is a compilation of stories based on the characters and stories written by the immortal Jane Austen. We make no claims to be able to reach the literary heights of Miss Austen, but, because we all wish that she had lived longer and written more, we feel the need to expand on the world, the characters and the stories that Miss Austen created. We sincerely hope that we will not offend her ghost or the spirit of her works in so doing.
These stories tend to be fantasy-oriented or modern-day retellings, with humorous and at times silly results. The dates of some of the stories might be wrong, since the Bits of Ivory board at Pemberley did not save any date information.
If you wish to post a story of your own, you can do so at the Derbyshire Writers' Guild Message Board.
